Hi, I'm Ben. Thanks for stopping by.
I'm a product manager who builds things for families and music lovers. I care deeply about the people who use what I make. And I get a little obsessive about the things I love.
I have taught product management at General Assembly. I shared what I've learned about putting customers first. Mostly, I helped people early in their careers build, survive and thrive in tech.
I started out playing acoustic guitar around the Camden pub circuit. That led me to building Pro Tools studios for TV and film for major broadcasters and independent facilities in London and beyond. Then I found product. It let me mix my love of music with solving problems for customers at scale. I spent years building for musicians and listeners at Focusrite, Native Instruments and Mixcloud.
I became a parent. Yoto became a part of our home in 2020. My family loved it, and it was putting real good into the world. So I joined. We grew, fast. Since launch, revenue has more than doubled each year on average, reaching $180m in 2025.
I led software for our fourth generation of players. I got to completely reimagine how players were activated. It had been a real sticking point for families, and now it isn't. I helped bring the green button to market. We built the best kids audio player, for the best kids audio platform. It shipped this year. I'm proud of it.
These days I'm also learning to build guitars. I wanted to get back to a subtle craft, to keep making things with my hands. I want to build something that lasts beyond my years. An heirloom. A small piece of me left in the world.
And I run marathons. It's an unwinnable game. You turn up every day and push to your limits. The progress is slow. You don't see it over weeks. You see it over months and years. I love that.
If you're building something you hope people will love and need a product manager, let's talk. The best place to reach me is on LinkedIn.
